Ok, so, I have a cream leather sofa and a 2 year old dd with a "thing" for Biros - I think you can guess the rest lol!

So, any tips for removing the biro from the leather? The whole sofa is "sewn in" so I can't take any cusions off or anything!

It is quite thick in some places as she seemed to want a blue sofa instead Grin

Have a feeling hairspray might work but I would try it somewhere very carefully first that you can't see.

Sparay on and rub gently will go and have a look in some books back in a mo.

honestly, it really works i saw it on how clean is your house.
then a little girl i cared for wrote all over her vinyl doll... i put milk on a cloth and rubbed and it all came off!

I am shocked - milk! I would never have thought of it - I was toying with the idea of trying to get some bleach....Shock!

Try a rubber is the only reference I can find in my books.

NOT BLEACH!!!

secur · 08/05/2006 12:36

Grin ok not bleach then!

I tried a rubber but it seemed to rub up the leather so it was left all bumpy afterwards, although it did work I thought it would ruin the sofa by the time I got it all off!

Somewhere in the back of my vague mind there is something telling me that perfume removes biro! Not sure where I heard it, but worth a try. At least your sofa will smell sweet if it doesn't work!
