Is it rusty or dirty? What's the rough coating? Is it an actual proper finish, or rust? (or dirt Grin)

Grin no its dirty on the table (its got a proper finish coating on it) but rusty on the table legs and chairs

If they are not painted, you really need to get a wire brush at it - then once you have cleaned off all the rust, spray it with some WD40.

As for the table top..... er..... erm.... dunno! Waht about a cream cleaner as they have bits in the scrub away at the dirt? It's difficult with not being able to see it (and no, I'm not coming round to do it! Grin)

Blush - just realised polyvinyl chloride is pvc!

Definitely clean with wash powder (dissolved in water, obviously!)

biglips · 06/05/2006 12:18

and scrub it with a scrubbing brush??

OP posts:
Squarer · 06/05/2006 12:19

You could use a brush, but go easy on the scrubbing!
