Just wondered out of interest if anyone else seems to spend their days following children round picking up toys or have you adopted the currently under consideration by myself approach of leaving it till the end of the day and having one big clear up?!

Which is best??????

i leave it til the end of the day... otherwise i spend ALL my time tidying and ds would follow me around tipping it all on the floor again... so IMO complete waste of time!

depends on the mess really. usually i tidy after/during lunch and again after bed

ScummyMummy · 04/05/2006 20:46

I leave it till the end of the month...

PanicPants · 04/05/2006 20:50

tidy stuff as i go but not toys, i do those when i go to bed

cleaninglady · 04/05/2006 20:51

lol scummymummy - maybe i should go from one extreme to the other and try monthly :)

getting fed up being bothered about it and its a loosing battle especially as everything has 3 thousand pieces!

There must be a middle ground, cleaning lady.:) I'm trying to become someone who clears more as I go but it is so alien to me.

Will tidy up a bit if we're going out, but leave something like a traintrack out. Then tidy up at bedtime (if I'm lucky dd will finish tidying while I put ds to bed, bless her)

hate tidying and nagging cajoling kids to tidy...was moanung to dh how pointless it all is.Like threading a necklace with no knot at the end.

Some days I tidy most days I can't be arsed.
