HELP - nursery is now 30oC!

Nursery is at the top of the house facing the sun which we get all day. The windows and door is open and I have two fans on the go but it's not cooling down.

Are there any magic solutions to cool things down that don't involve shelling out hundreds on an air con unit?

blackout blind and curtains shut?

tried that, it just seemed to make it hotter as no air was getting in from the windows

ok, bumping for you then...

i find that in this hot weather in the long run it is better to keep the blinds closed and windows open

(that is also the government advice for heat waves!)

Also, make sure you keep the blinds shut in the day too.

I just open all windows upstairs and shut blinds/curtains and whereever the suns not shining into open wide that window and hope a draft blows through.
