How long do you keep your filing for?

If that makes sense. I'm just filing this months bills and at the back of some of the files are bills 2,3 and even 4 yrs old in some cases. Is there any point in keeping them?

Depends whether you are self employed,when i have paid my bills they go on the fire(wouldnt like anyone to pinch my ID) Smile

I think 6 years is recommended.

Not self employed, just ordinary household bills.

Hi waterfalls, 6 yrs oh no my cabinet will be h-u-g-e. I've got a dr appt for ds about his ears, Tues morning. He ended upi falling asleep again while feeding him this morning. I hope it's ok to hijack my own thread!!!

if you are not self employed then cant see any reaon to keep them unless you are making a complaint to British Gas or BT!
