The part of JanH's cast list I find most intriguing is that Pru Forrest (who famously hardly ever said anything) was played by Judi Dench for a while. Do great actresses do long silences better than other people, and does the effect come across on radio?

I have a storyline for next Xmas.
The Grundy turkeys get bird flu and the village drops down dead one by one. On my hit-list are Saint Shula, snobby Susan and Emma. I used to like Caroline but have gone off her since shacking up with Oliver, she has become boring, so i would get rid of Oliver too.
I just have to work out a way of making the Grundy'd immune - they are the only characters worth saving at the moment.

Why are the chidlren so irritating?

can someone tell me something really basic. Is Emma's baby ed's or will's? fairly fundamental but it all came out when I was having a non-Archer's phase. and now whenever anyone talks about "my" baby, I'm not sure in what sense they mean it.

George is Will's baby. When Emmur left will she told him that Ed was the father but Will insisted on having tests and it proved George was his.

This is a useful thread as I've only caught TA randomly the last few months. Did matt actually buy Lillian the Dower House or was that a ploy? I like the way he can be dastardly and nice at the same time. Alistair is crap though - £60,000 down in what seems like only a few weeks.

Matt just bought Lillian Caroline's share of the Bull (and the dower house) I can see some interesting plots between her and Sid and Joleen.

Does no-one else use the listen again facility on the BBC site to listen to TA? I would never catch it if I had to listen at 7 - it's slap bang in the middle of story time!
