Visa or mastercard whats the difference?

transferring balance till we move and have been offerd good deal on tesco mastercard?, we've always had visa??any big difference?less places take them?

no difference at all - they use the same networks etc.. in fact they work so closely together that I think they're being investigated for being a cartel aren't they?

just looking at the 0% balance transfer ones..thinking of virgin/postoffice/or tesco..any one have a recomendation?

If you want to do a balance transer look v carefully at the small print - charges can be betwen 1.5% to 3% and some are capped (at eg £50) and some aren't so don't commit until you know!

what dya mean capped JanH?, i know some said theyd charge 2 - 21/2 % transfer, so wont use them!

Some have a maximum charge and some don't, but they all charge something!
