Boring question about kids passports

I'll keep this boring question short

When applying for a child's first passport do you need the childs full certificate - the one where it has parents name on it?

I only have the shortened version - I'm going to have to go to the registary office tomorrow aren't I. Bum.

yes, I had to pay £60 for an emergency one, but if your in no rush, should cost around £15 I think.
