I want to buy dh rollerblades for his birthday, but I don't really know anything about them and am totally swamped by the results I get from Google.

I don't want to spend the earth, as dh has never rollerbladed in his life. John Lewis had some for under £50, but I didn't think that they would be right for him as they only go up to size 11 and he's size 10.5 ( the one thing I have learnt is that you need to get bigger than your shoe size! ).

Can anyone advise me, or point me in the right direction?

Have a look in Argos. Got dd some, really nice ones with elbow and knee pads included for £19.99.

we got some for DH's niece, they are made by Rollerblade, the size is adjustable over 3 or 4 sizes which seems like a really good idea, they should last her at least 2 years. No idea what a size 11 is though. THey are a little expensive but dh was impressed with them.

Its the red one on the top of this page.
