Charities that help individuals in creative pursuits

Trying to get some funding for dd who got a place in the national children's orchestra.
Many charities only offer grants to organisations and others who offer to individuals only offer applicants of a specific geographic location, which area they aim to assist. We're in Edinburgh and local authority haven't been able to offer help either.

We won't get help if means tested but the cost of the course and other incidentals means that it will be very tight to afford.

Getting some guidance on where to be looking would be very helpful.

Would she be eligible for Creative Scotland funding?

unfortunately no. looked at their site and they support individuals who are not in full time education - so definitely not for younger musicians.

i've found that many trusts/organisations only fund older/professional musicians.
