That's it basically. First I had to put up with the Wiggles (although DS loves them so much, I can't help but like them) and now Hi-5 (the American version). Hi-5 makes me want to go bang my head against the wall until it cracks open. DS loooves it now, though and can't get enough.

Is Hi-5 American? They sound Aussie to me.

suzywong · 21/04/2006 15:51

The trick is to turn Hi-5 off instantly and explain to the kids that "Hi-5 makes Mum very bad tempered"
works a treat in our house

colinandcaitlinsmommy · 21/04/2006 15:54

Hi-5 is Australian, but the US has a version too. I blame it on AU, because the only thing American about the American version are the cast, everything is filmed, written, produced in Australia.

Suzywong-I feel bad telling him that. I've already told him that Barney the Dinosaur only comes on at his friend's house and doesn't work at ours.

my cousins wife got him to take dd to hi-5 live (she couldn't face it) and he obliged as apparantly the ladies are very attractive..

wonder if they get 'the chuckle brothers' and australians are on www.mumsnet.au complaining at us..lol

Funnily enough Hi-5 was jsut coming on when I was leaving for work this morning and somehow the telly mysteriously changed over to cbeeies. I ahd to laugh at the speed with which dp moved esp that early in the morning. dd didnt care anyway mind cos she wanted LUNAR JIM and NOTHING else was going to satisfy.
