If you receive a card through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) saying that they have a parcel awaiting delivery instructions and you can contact them 0906 6611911, DO NOT CALL as this is a mail scam originating in Belize. If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will have already been billed £15 for the call.

The scam is currently under investigation by ICSTIS.

If you receive a card from PDS do not contact them, ring Royal Mail Fraud on 0207 2396655 or ICTIS on www.ictis.org.uk or your local trading standards office.

\link{http://www.snopes.com/fraud/telephone/pds.asp\here's} what Snopes has to say. Whilst a genuine scam, it would appear that BT removed access to the premium rate phone line(s) a few months ago.

Humberside Police recently put out a warning on this one, claiming they had checked it with ICTIS and the City of London Police.

Not checked it very well obviously. I had great fun pointing that out to them Grin

The ICTIS site says that it 'was' a scam previously but even so the £15 charge on connection is total BS because £1.50 per minute is the maximum charge.
