Getting a cleaner

I am considering getting a cleaner as my DH who is a SAHD has now got some part-time consultancy work, so the housework is not getting done at all and I don't want to spend my weekends doing it. What I want to know is does anyone have ideas on how to find a reliable cleaner, average rates of pay and any other info I ought to know/consider.

All advice will be gratefully received!!

Go for it. Best is if a neighbour could give a recommendation for a specific cleaner. I know there are a lot of professional cleaning companies but my main concern is honesty. Don't want a revolving door through my house.

I think the rate of pay depends on which area in UK you are in. For London, I am out-of-touch but I would assume anywhere from £7.5+ per hour.
