And should we organise one for this Summer?

I should probably say now that I am in London.......

Good point Carmenere.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 18/04/2006 19:52

Agree - i was thinking Hyde Park actually as i think that is most central for tubes etc.

I was thinking June/July. I dont think the weather will be consistently clement before then.

I dont mind 'organising' but i doubt there will be much to organise.....

Shall i start a thread in Meetups then???

Go for it QV Grin. I'm with Hyde Park too.

oops · 18/04/2006 19:56

yeah, hyde park....go for it!!

Flossam · 18/04/2006 19:59

Ok I was about to throw a huge strop but then thought maybe maybe I could visit for the day?? Wouldn't be able to confirm untill much nearer the time, but if you set a date now I could be sure that I was off.... Grin

Would love to see those of you I know and those I haven't yet met! Smile

MrsStrutsHerStuff · 18/04/2006 20:07

sounds a fab idea! shame i'm in sunny scotland!

hub2dee · 18/04/2006 20:14

I suggested Richmond Park for a big Summer picnic thang a while back ('Biggest meetup ever' thread)... dunno if that is any better than in town. If you're driving it certainly is.

welshboris · 18/04/2006 20:14

What about by train?

FrannyandZooey · 18/04/2006 20:17

Ooh I like picnics.

thewomanwhothoughtshewasahat · 18/04/2006 20:19

I'd like to come esp if it was in September, but I guess that's unlikey. Richmond Park's fab for me but not very practical for people coming from out of town. Wasn;t there talk one year about a meet up at Coram's fields (not sure of exact name, its near Holborn) the benefit of it was that you can hire a building of sorts which could be used if it rains. Not sure if that one ever came off but might be worth looking into

Marina · 18/04/2006 20:31

IlanaK organised an excellent Christmas party meet at Coram's Fields in December 2003! :) I think CF gets packed in warmer weather though - it was easier to keep track of free-range toddlers in December because it was almost deserted.

intergalacticwalrus · 18/04/2006 20:32

Don't forhet to let him bring a toy gun, and something from his McDonalds Restaurant toy set.

hunkermunker · 18/04/2006 20:32

IGW, good point - will just pick up a Happy Meal for him en route.

intergalacticwalrus · 18/04/2006 20:36

Yeah, don't bother with packed lunches, you don't want people thinking you give a damn!!

Grin
twokids · 18/04/2006 20:37

noddyholder like your brighton idea - do you live there(I do) just remeber no toilets on the seafront

noddyholder · 18/04/2006 21:21

There are toilets now and a nice little play area I have images of sandcastles and ice cream and paddling with rolled up trousers (come back to reality girl!)

FastasleepInTheHellPit · 18/04/2006 21:25

welshboris · 18/04/2006 21:26

Then when you get lots of "that nasty welshboris, isnt she nasty, cant believe how nasty she was to you" comments we'll reveal our swap

[evil laugh]

twokids · 18/04/2006 21:26

sandcastles in brighton!!!!

FrannyandZooey · 18/04/2006 21:35

Actually I think I may have a leetle trouble passing for 23 or whatever annoyingly young age it is you are, boris.

welshboris · 18/04/2006 21:37

Im 24, but look younger I suppose

Oh well, good plan scuppered. Lets just eat twizzlers and drink fruit shoots in the sun instead. You can introduce me to qunioa (s.p)

FrannyandZooey · 18/04/2006 21:54

welshboris · 18/04/2006 21:57
