This is soooo "Other subjects"!!
I have recently started a painting course and I am quite enjoying it .... but I am lacking any imagination .... I need to copy things.
Have just exhausted a calendar with watercolours of Provence and I am looking for another source of inspiration lots of colour and vibrancy is the order of the day ..... NOT dull landscapes of Britain IYKWIM ....
Any advice please ??
Thanks

go to the travel agents and nick some brochures

Type watercolours into google and then click on the "images" tab. I got 10800 images - that should keep you busy for a while

In fact, type virtually any word into Google and click on the image tab. Type "firemen" and have a look at the first image...

Do you have any art shops near you, you know the ones with hideously expensive prints and sculptures, small prints are not too dear and some birthday cards have lovely pictures..if you have any (WHSmiths might)

Was going to suggest holiday brochures but Suzywong beat me to it. Also how about asking your friends to bring you back a few scenic postcards from their holidays or borrowing some travel books from the library. I used to use photos I'd taken on holiday as found it easier if I had visited the place myself somehow.

Hi there. I've been doing watercolours for last year & having exhausted postcard collection often find pics in the bits that drop put of the sunday paper - holiday ads or travel section. It is really hard to find the right thing tho, also would rather do stuff that is personal to me, but have ended up "doing" Venice a couple of times despite never going there...or anywhere.
