Anyone know about making curtains?

I've bought some triple pleat curtain header tape which I've never used before. Does it work just like regular header tape? Sew it on and then pull the strings so the pleats appear? How do you make sure it doesn't pucker in between the pleats? Any tips?

I am guessing it works the same as normal tape, but you just need to pinch the pleasts sharply IYKWIM.

It shouldn't pucket between pleats unless it is pulled too tight.

Thanks - I thought that must be it. Think I will start with the £1.59 metre fabric from ikea first tho, before using it with anything pricey!

yes, I've used this and it is just like normal heading tape, the triple pleats appear when you yank the threads. I also put a few stitches through the pleats at the bottom where they start to fan out, it keeps them nice and tight.
