Have had 3 calls this morning from people trying to sell me stuff. I've heard that there is a way you can block them from phoning your number. Anyone know what you have to do?

you can register with the Telephone PReference service. there's a Mail one too, they've worked pretty well for me. \link{http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/\here}

think there's a BT thingy as well but I'm not BT so not sure about that

phone BT they can do one of them directly and will give you the number for the other one (cant remember the names), just go through to the nuisance call section when you phone through.
Doesnt completely block them but helps, we used to have loads but not so many now

It blocks any cold calls made from the UK. It doesn't stop any from foreign call centres. The only way to avoid them is to have caller display. They come up either as international or unavailable.
