I have a Lexmark Z816, and I have bought some cartrides for it today. I haven't used it in a while, and the effing thing won't work now

I have a feeling that my destructive DS may have had something to do with it. Have just taken the top off it, and nothing seems to be loose, but the power light just keeps flashing.

Really don't want to have to buy a new one! Help!

My techie mate has just been and he couldn't do anything with it, so short of kicking it, I think my only option is to buy a new'un. bloody computers. No, swipe that. Bloody kids.
