the saga continues..the house we loved has now gone because of toss pot who put in last offer then changed mind with out so much a bye you leave..but we have a guy coming tonight who has been looking at 2bed near us and thinks there rubbish so has decided to look at three's..there are not many three bed semis here and without being a big head, ours is really nice very high standard inside(last owners did a lot of it), clean and utterly unoffensive, our garden is on the small side, but as we thought when we bought the area is so lovely and the house is great, we wern't botherd(still got patio then nice lawn plus shed tucked behind garage, so half garden is walled and looks pretty).. i know its too late for the one we wanted as i rang agent earlier, but we just want to sell now cos we've never really waited this lng beforeSad

congrats to those who've sold/got loads of interest - house fairy dust (not the dirty stuff our way pls) Smile
Think we're in for a long wait as not 1st-time buyer market, loads of competition from other sellers...just need to find that special someone who wants "our unique combination of factors" (I knew I should have been an estate agent...)

EvesMama · 12/04/2006 13:58

ours imo inst first time buyer price either, but is not a particulary high price given the crazy house prices.

i am considering doing this 'cosmic ordering' ive just been reading about!
that the buyers of the house we want find something else, then we get it for a good price and we all live happily ever after..i am..am gunna do it tonight..can just see dp taking p**s out of me though!

No news yet... Family (2 adults , 2 guys late teens/early twenties) who came on Thursday evening seemed really keen, spent time chatting together outside afterwards, said they'd come back to the agent but ... no message back yet. Have a feeling that even if they are interested they will be looking to make a lower offer and then argue some more. Perhaps I need to give them and agent the benefit of doubt as it was a Bank Holiday w/e ??

EvesMama · 17/04/2006 21:40

yeah, id say things will have been either put to one side or agent not wanting to work one minute over on bank hol in order to give you feedback!
give agent a ring in morn and get them to chase em up..i didSmile...
p.s....shhh think we've founf THE house!Grin

no ! Actually I've been out all day and as I was walking out the door this morning, kids already in car, I had a call asking for a viewing this afternoon so agent did it. Also had a message for another potential viewing on Saturday. Should get feedback on today's woman tomorrow morning so will ask then.

EvesMama · 18/04/2006 19:19

wow..that sounds good..just get em through the door, try and get house to yourself and turn on the sales pitch!!..fingers crossedSmile

feedback from Tuesday - 3rd hand as the guy who did the showing was off yesterday and another guy phoned dh ! - was that the house wasn't in the right location for them ?! Others still outstanding ....

EvesMama · 20/04/2006 12:18

oh yeah totally understand they thought it was in another part of town...easy mistake to make eh!!!!ShockAngry
what idiots!
second person to see our after receiving full house details said she lurrrrrrrrved house but she wanted a south facing garden!Shock..easier to understand but she already knew which way the house was through aprticulars!...argggh time wasters!
keep positive..give agent kick up bum..are you due to be out of contract with them??..a little reminder to them may help!Wink
get them to re send to all their 'hot buyers', put add in paper and ring round people who have seen in past to check their position etc..fingers crossed for you too!

Saturday has been cancelled, found somewhere else in the meantime. Tuesday people were looking in a number of areas around here(relocating from London) and presumably decided on a different town altogether, nothing specifically negative about our house. Last week's still interested apparently but a few more yet to view before looking at a second viewing.

EvesMama · 20/04/2006 19:03
