the saga continues..the house we loved has now gone because of toss pot who put in last offer then changed mind with out so much a bye you leave..but we have a guy coming tonight who has been looking at 2bed near us and thinks there rubbish so has decided to look at three's..there are not many three bed semis here and without being a big head, ours is really nice very high standard inside(last owners did a lot of it), clean and utterly unoffensive, our garden is on the small side, but as we thought when we bought the area is so lovely and the house is great, we wern't botherd(still got patio then nice lawn plus shed tucked behind garage, so half garden is walled and looks pretty).. i know its too late for the one we wanted as i rang agent earlier, but we just want to sell now cos we've never really waited this lng beforeSad

IKWYM - had that over w/e, just when we thought had day off as it were, found myself shouting at ds for emptying out toy cupboard, re-arranged the recylcing bins, chucked all the wet washing we had airing in a bin liner under the bedBlush. Annoying as each time you have to make the effort, don't you, just in case they're "the one"..

LIZS · 10/04/2006 15:59

MC exactly you feel you have to make the effort each time just in case. Amazing how much ironing disappears at the bottom of our cupboards ! Ironically we got an offer on our previous flat when we had left it in such a state (not sure we'd even closed the loo) because we'd basically given up hope. The agent did the viewing while we were at work and had no notice to tidy or clean.

Evesmama - I love my Magicloth Smile

good luck! we lost out on our dream house today as we hadn't sold. only went on market last tues and we have our 3rd viewing tomorrow.. First one said kitchen too small, and they hadn't sold, 2nd said they loved it... but then decided they wanted a driveway.. there pad isn't even on the market yet. We have a cash investor coming tomorrow who wants a buy to let and is "keen as mustard" whatever the hell that means. They could move paople straight in and start raking in rent ASAP. What a nightmare this is..especially if we sell the day after we lose our dream home :( Keep me updated!! Off to buy fresh cut flowers Grin

CarolinaMooncup · 10/04/2006 20:57

this is why I get the agents to do the viewings as much as poss, it is too much of an emotional rollercoaster otherwise Wink.

we all need the house-selling equivalent of babydust I think...

EvesMama · 11/04/2006 08:03

i agreeSmile

and although i will be most definatly over the moon if we sell this for close to asking price to the guy from yesterday ill still cry about the house we lost because of other time wasterSad
dp just keeps saying it wasnt meant to be and not to worry as something else will come up..butSad

OP posts:
AllieBongo · 11/04/2006 08:41

i hate that bloody saying "well, it wasn't meant to be... you'll find something else" i wanted that one

EvesMama · 11/04/2006 08:52

i know..worst thing is dp did too and he's just as gutted as me but is trying to look on the brightside for once..keep ringing agent to see if it all going through still

OP posts:
EvesMama · 11/04/2006 08:53
Smile dd's a fairy today and has just asked me to make a wish she would grant..i asked for this guy to pay us lots of money for our house and that we find one close to dd's school thats beautiful and we all live happily ever after thereSmile..dya think it'll come true?..dd seems to think soSmile

OP posts:
LIZS · 11/04/2006 09:52

is the other one with the same agent ? If not then I doubt they'll be able to shed much light yet as to whether it may be serious competition.
