Moving back after 10+ years....

Moving back to England after 10+ years... what do I need to know/do to settle back in? What's the best way to get up to speed on things that I'm sure are vastly different from 2001/2 when I left? Any other advice from anyone who has done this would be fab - I'm not sure even what I'm asking but I'm very nervous....

Thanks in advance

Hmm, I would suggest you catch up with some old friends, head down the pub and just have a general natter.

Is there anything in particular you're wondering about?

Thanks very much - I'm not sure what I'm asking really... I think I'm a bit worried that we're coming back to what will seem like a completely different country because so much has changed in 10 years. I'll have to start watching Sky news or something...

I think the only thing that's really changed in the last ten years is technology. As everyone's a bit down about the economy at the moment. Where are you coming back from?

Dont know where you are moving from, but Things i had to adjust to:

  1. Smaller more expensive fruit n veg
  2. Miss hearing and speaking Spanish
  3. No more private conversations in public!
  4. Its amazing being near family and friends, in fact, i dont even mind about
  5. The grey skies
  6. Stunned at the xfactor hysteria, no idea who one direction were etc. Bone up on DM sidebar of shame.
  7. Bring back condiments etc that you might not be able to get your hands on.

Im so happy to be celebrating our first christmas back home but are already alking about where next.....
