How do I take a metal stud button off a skirt?

I hope you know what I mean!

I want to move it but it's one of those metal ones that go through the material.

Is there any way of removing it and putting it back on in another place?

I don't think you can unfortunately...maybe someone else has an idea?

no..it will have pierced the material so you will have a hole.
if however you cn repair it, or it's in place you can't see..ie waistband you can buy studs in haberdsherys which you can 'pop' on so you could get a new one and do tht ....

I have just sewn a new button on but it seemed a shame as the stud was quite decorative.
