Quick, dumb blonde, quesiton about voiles.........

I've just bought some new ones for the lounge, have already taken the old (horrible), torn (due to boys) nets down, but I've had a blone/senior moment...........it's got a pattern on it - does it go up with the pattern facing into the room, or out of the window Blush

look at the hems - they should be toward the window so you see the un-raw side.

with the pattern facing the room,i had this when i bought some with a leaf pattern on.got fed up of them and bought some blinds instead!!

Countess - what do you suggest I have then - I'm certainly not having open curtains with nothing there - our window is about 4ft from the road.......which during term time is chock a block with people - I'm not having them all staring into my living room first thing in the morning Shock! And we can't get blinds to fit (well not without spending an absolute fortune on custom made blinds - it's a bay window with a 2ft window on either side and a 3ft one in the middle........

Thanks for that - I thought it was hem to the window - but just had a moment of panic.

there's not loads of pattern - DS1 wanted me to buy some with tons on, but the ones I chose have just got a few (faint) pattersn on them - just to make them look a little more intersting (from inside and out) I Hate 'plainess' (lets fact it blinds aren't plain.

Right must go and put them up - currently have a huge bay window 'uncovered' for the whole world to see my messy loungediner Blush

Hmmm that feels slightly better - just put them up and as I was doing it they looked really nice...........until I got off the stool and realised I'd picked the wrong size up - I've got a gap about 40cm big at the bottom - and it looks awful......I guess I'll have to send DH to Wilkinson's tomorrow to change Blush
