Do you ever get sick of doing everything, i am so fed up this evening. I hate emptying the bins, i hate moving furniture, i hate cooking everynight and getting them to bed. Then sorting out all the bills, school activities. I know everybody does loads its just the binbag split open on the kitchen floor and at the same time there asking me to read them a story. I want someone else to share these responsibilities. Moan over. Arghhhhhhhhhhh

I take my hat off to you! It is flipping hard work. Dh goes away for long periods (months) and I find the extra work killing!

Youu work so hard and do a great job. You deserve a medal. Failing that, can you sneak a drink when the kids are in bed? Have a long soak in the bath, do something to pamper your self? Because you deserve it.

FF second hmb. My dh is away all week and it is hard work but at least he pays the bills and stuff, i take my hat off to you too

now stop bloody moaning!

Festivefly · 06/01/2004 18:24

I have a special moaning gene installed i can't help it, i'm not like this in real life you know, its a mumsnet thing. I've just put the kids to bed in a really bad mood said go to sleep don't mess with me tonight. They are being really good and i have come down stairs and thrown a plate at the wall. oooops.

he!he!

Tinker · 06/01/2004 18:50

Aargh, taking the binbags out is my least favourite job of all time! Got one of those shitty, shitty Brabantia bins (given to me) which seem to suck the binbag in so you have to wrestle with it to get it out. And then if's half empty!

Yes, ff, doing EVERYTHING is a mighty pain in the arse

mammya · 07/01/2004 00:21

Yes FF, completely agree with you. Especially when dd keeps getting out of bed, it would be nice to be able to say "your turn now!" and let someone else sort it out while I sit back and relax with a glass of wine, IYSWIM. Also sick of being stuck at home everyday from 6pm.

CountessDracula · 07/01/2004 00:23

Big respect to all single mums, dh has been out of action for a week with a bad back and I seriously don't know how you do it. Most of the time I can't even cope with 2 of us.

Festivefly · 07/01/2004 11:07

Tinker it is as you say and i will repeat a huge pain in the arse changing the bins. Definetly a job for men (i'm sooooo sexist)
Mammya being stuck at home is a huge dilema you have to inform the whole world 12 months before if you are thinking of stepping out of the house one evening
Cheers CD but i don't think i could cope with a man and a bad back
