Saw your post on the other thread Screwball and just a word of reassurance-
years ago when i went to do my Nursing they told us only some of us would get work as the year before had struggled and some had not found any after a year. Anyway I left after 18 months BUT by the time they all qualified there was a huge shortage and they all found work in weeks.
So just reassuraing you it could turn around.
(Also same as you with the finances, student at Uni now- can't do summer work even though already finished for year (full time? Are they sure) as SN child to care for. But it'll be worth it and we'll both do well, you'll see 
)
