From the front room I can see the cars passing by, then an old brickwall with some dandilions growing on a grass verge....hmm interesting..whats your view like?

Left and right-apartment blocks and people running in from the snow/rain/hail. Straight ahead- largish grassy area and building site where they are building a commercial centre/Migros. Its covered in workmen wearing yellow souwesters and raincoats working diligently despite the weather(definitely not in the UK!).

Bigmerlin · 05/04/2006 14:08

Without wishing to blow my cover (!) a 12th century tower and a 15th century house, lots of blue sky.

Kabsy · 05/04/2006 16:44

Front - The farmers yard and fields and the lane
Back - my garden and next doors gardens and school playing field, school and hospital

Seems bleak compared to BM Smile

MadameDeMars · 05/04/2006 16:46

Front: a lovely quiet road. I can watch all the neighbours walk by as I study.

Back: the garden and some lovely trees. The DTs playthings, a few tennis balls, a skipping rope and flower beds in desperate need of attention.

PutAPeachyInYourSimnelCake · 05/04/2006 16:59

FRONT: A national austistic society unit, which actually menas a large hedge and beautiful grounds Grin. used to be chilsdren's home I believe. because our cottage front onto the road, and it's a narrow old street, all you can see from ground level is the blackberry hedges (lovely in autumn Grin)

Back: small garden, old wall (I think the archaeologists checked the wall and it was only a couple hundred years old) and then the ugly fence of the new build backing on to us. The garden is within the old Roman Fortress so keep hoping to find exciting stuff but don't suppose we will Grin

From our dining room (first floor flat)I can see the pink and blue sunset sky beyond roof tops and church spire (with trees framing either side of window)and aeroplanes above making stripes in the sky. We're moving soon and I'm going to miss this view.

Tommy · 05/04/2006 20:22

front - fairly busy road and other houses opposite but don't kow any of the people who live in them... Sad
back - our suburban but v pretty garden (pots should starting to flower Smile) and some terraced houses over the wall.
We didn't choose our house for the view Wink

flutterbee · 05/04/2006 20:28

I can see the beautiful south downs from the front and the church from the back.

intergalacticwalrus · 05/04/2006 20:30

Front: a wall

Back: the finance Department of the Bath Royal United hospital

Nice.

nutcracker · 05/04/2006 20:32

Front : The rest of the cul de sac

Back : Big playing field and then flats.

frazzledrocks · 05/04/2006 20:43

hey mazzystar, I think I know where you live!

Me..geese, swans, turtle doves and a farm growing organic free trade nipple shields

At the back I have an uninterrupted view of the studio for "Friday Night With Jonathan Ross" and an obscured view of Trevor Eve, who is often asleep

Vic and Bob are alive and well

laurenholly · 05/04/2006 22:35

swedishmum · 05/04/2006 23:09

Fields to the front ( and next door's new car Envy) and fields beyond our garden going the mile or so up to the ridge in the village at the back. I'm ignoring the mess our labrador puppy has made in the garden for the moment...

  • my garden, garden and grounds of the church and the surrounding woods our house backs onto!
beemail · 06/04/2006 16:58

A garden that needs a bit of work but beyond fields, trees and horses grazing - quite a contrast to other city views we have enjoyed in the past but find all the green very calming!!

babyonboard · 06/04/2006 16:58

to the front..a lot of trees and behind them a lovely converted manor house and its gardens...in summer when trees are fully green it's just all trees which is lovely.(we're on 3rd floor)
to the back ...a lot of houses a lot lovelier than our little flat. pah!

babyonboard · 06/04/2006 16:59

oh and from our side window in the distance we can see the amazing monstrosity that is the lewisham 'citibank' tower'

winnie · 06/04/2006 17:10

five months ago I had a horrid house but a view of a white horse and downs... now I have a beautiful house and the view of a modern office complex including the CAB office! Luckily my front garden is in between and that is quite lovely & in a few weeks will mask the view.

twokids · 06/04/2006 17:18

a house at the front and a park at the back full of horrid kids... one being mine

Callmemadam · 06/04/2006 17:47

I can see our lawns with pond, currently occupied by wild mallard (HN51, anyone) fornicatingGrin. Then I look across the rolling fields of Kent, dotted with ewes and new-born lambs. No roads in sight anywhere. Truly blessed.

saltire · 06/04/2006 17:49

To the front i can see the houses across the road. Out the back window I can see the road, and in the distance i can see the wire fence and some big jets!! V noisy

jmum6 · 06/04/2006 17:50

From the front room I can just see the 'village' green (have to nearly break my neck to do so though :o)and some houses. From the back I can see back lawn with newly emptied pond and piles of decking which dp says he will get to shortly!

arfissimeau · 06/04/2006 22:23

From here I can see the back garden, which is a courtyard with high hedges.

When the new upstairs is finished we'll be able to see Sydney harbour and the opera house. Which would be fab if we were actually going to be living here then.

magicfarawaytree · 06/04/2006 23:43

a garden much in need of a makeover, some tatty swings and trees. its quite calming at the rear as there are no houses behind us. in front houses an a slow stream of people fascinated by the half built house!!
