Like there is sand in it or grit or something.

Please tell me it's not going to die ? I've only had it just over a year i think.

if there is a problem some machines have a two year warranty now.

Have you got any of the paperwork from when you bought it?

nutcracker · 03/04/2006 19:42

Nope don't think so, will have to check with my mum.

It seems to be working ok, just making a weird noise.

That rings a bell...brushes or something? (not that I have a clue what I'm talking about)

Mine has become so noisy when spinning - anybody know what's wrong?

fuzzywuzzy · 03/04/2006 19:47

wallace the drum could have come loose, you may need to check behind ot see if the bolts are poperly tight....

nutcracker · 03/04/2006 19:48

Will have to get my dad over to have a look i think.

bushes gone by the sounds of it.

Wallace · 03/04/2006 19:57

Thanks fuzzywuzzy (like the name BTW - dd had got a PC game where you make a pet and you stroke it and it goes "Fuzzywuzzywuzzy" and I think of that everytime I see your name)

Ah, that's what I meant katesmum - bushes

jmg1 · 03/04/2006 20:02

wallace, that could just be because it is not level and/or one of the feet is not screwed down to the floor.

Nutty, yours could be the bearings but that is very unusual for such a new machine.

Kathlean · 03/04/2006 20:31

Have you got something like a bra underwire bit stuck through one of the holes? My machine sounded evil until I realised my bra was missing one of these.

charliecat · 03/04/2006 20:44

My washing machine had a really dodgy sound to it when it was spinning and it was a bra cup holder thingy stuck in the hole took a while to find it but washing machines fine at least a year on.

jmg1 · 03/04/2006 21:00

ah, being a bloke I don't think of such things!

Wallace · 03/04/2006 22:13

You mean it is supposed to be screwed down to the floor? Shock

It has only recently started being so noisy, I manage to ignore it mostly Grin

fuzzywuzzy · 03/04/2006 22:14

wallace no, the feet are adjustable, the machine has to be level for it to work properly, if they aren't level as JMG says the machine will make noise. But if it's a recent occurance it could mean your drum has come loose..... Have had problems with our machine in the past (not that you could tellWink)

Wallace · 04/04/2006 08:29

Thanks I'll have a look today if I can manage to pull it out.

Either that or I'll just sit on it when it's spinning...that could be fun Wink
