To be fair, cambridge were a gutsy crew, they must have been worried sick that they were about to sink, but they didn't give up.

yes, I know what that feels like! Must be horrid to be the losing crew. Dh said it was very 'non-comprehensive school' in that it's 'win or lose'!

Hvaing put in some time (in a very bad collage crew) I now feel that I can sit in my arm chair and huff about 'hanging at the catch' and being a bit 'scrappy on bow side'. 99% bollocks but it sounds like I know what I'm on about

My family are VERY into rowing, I did it at school, my brother at Uni, my dad is a rowing coach, and it is real luxury to be able to watch the race WITHOUT either of them giving a non-stop commentary - 'he's rushing up the slide', 'they'll never maintain that rate', 'the cox has lost it', 'no.6 is getting tired, that'll show', 'the blades aren't square'.

Used to drive me MAD MAD MAD!!!!!!
