For a friend of mine in the US, so it can't be too heavy to post.

I'm thinking of a book about art or photography, as he is v big on both. Any suggestions please?

depends how heavy the book is though - P&P could be a lot.

what sort of photography?

lou33 · 02/04/2006 16:28

he does his own photography, is really good actually, so i was thinking more of a collection of interesting pictures, rather than a tutorial

I'm trying to remember a photography book from an article in the Times - unfortunately it was a few weeks ago and my brain is like a sponge!! Maybe it was just an article - they gave a bunch of photograpers an olympus camera each for the weekend and took them out on a yacht etc for them to just snap away. Back in the 60s I think. ANd I think it was an ad article for a book rather than just an article IYSWIM!

lou33 · 02/04/2006 16:55

ooh that looks good too, do they have it in the ul amazon site? I could probably add it onto my order

oh, found it Lou, \link{http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0500281718/203-0755369-8815906\here}, actually the UK version has a different cover (I have 2 copies, oddly, bought one for dh when he was dp and then we split briefly so I bought myself another copy because I hadn't finished reading it/looking at it. It is very interesting on the subjects of love/desire/imagery, is absolutely not porn in case you were wondering!
