We have only lived here 5 months, and have had 2 letters from the Housing Association with complaints from her, I am so mad because none of it is true, apparently
we park in front of her drive
we drill late at night
we bang doors late at night

I have'nt seen her since the last letter (arrived yesterday) but she is always very nice to my face.

My husband is a taxi driver and she has even called his boss to say he parks the taxi in front of her drive...........WTF

If she carries on, it will only be her would againsed ours, so in the worst case sceneario(sp) she could get us evicted.

Anyone got any suggestions.

Before it comes to the point of eviction she will surely have to provide some evidence of her claims, ie a photo of your car over her drive or the HA will have to install sound monitors or something and then they will realise she is barking.

mieowscintillant · 01/04/2006 23:40

I had to take photos for the council to believe me that next door were parking over my drive. Also the housing manager came down and witnessed it, and took her own photos. She will have to prove all this, don't worry.

waterfalls · 01/04/2006 23:41

I hope so, I would confront her, but she would probably complain I am threatening her.

Oh good, I called the housing officer, and told them my kids are in bed by 7.30 at the latest, and our house is silent from there on. I got the impression she has done this before to other neighbours, so hopefully they are aware she has a screw loose.

we have a 50/50 share house with a housing association and they told us that as long as we pay our rent that's all they care about.
have you called them and told them she is a liar?

mieowscintillant · 01/04/2006 23:44

I had to prove that I was having trouble with the neighbours, its not a case of you have to prove you are not, she has to prove that you ARE IYKWIM.

jampots · 01/04/2006 23:46

having met Waterfalls dh he certainly appears to be a very decent young man - she's obviously mad. Why not invite her round for some tea and cakes and kill her with kindness (or your baking) Grin

waterfalls · 01/04/2006 23:48

I think she enjoys making peoples lives a misery, she has knocked on my door before asking me to complain for her regaring someone else, I said no. Maked me wonder how far she will go, would'nt be surprised to get a visit from social services next, with wild accusations.

mieowscintillant
I remember all your threads now about your neighbours, and the trouble you had to prove it, thanks for the info, its a relief to know, though these complaints will still be on our file I expect.

the lady one door away from me is like that, always trying to get us to complain about the couple that live between us- they are annoying but i am not going to complain.
she also asks me to complain about the bloke three doors down from her coz she can see him naked in his kitchen at night when he comes downstaits for a drink!!
shes a maniac!
i know exactly how you feel.
our housing association dont take any notice of her anymore as she is the only one that complains so they have realised she must be lying/exaggerating to some extent.
i pointed out to my nightmare neighbour that new houses are mde of cardboard so u need to expect some noise, but she just complains to them about that fact too.
i seriously doubt they will evict u coz of this loony.
as peeps have said, she will need a lot of hard evidence, which she wont get as she is lying.

mieowscintillant · 02/04/2006 00:00

She will need evidence and if she is lying she ain't going to be able to prove it. Don't worry, she must have no life or no sex life to feel that bored to make up stories....

waterfalls · 02/04/2006 00:05

I went into her house once, and I came out suicidal, it was in a dir state, really glum and dirty, never seen anything like it before, her husband is on disability, walks around with a walking stick, yet I have seen him, push a broken down car into his drive, and run to the off license as it was about to close. HMMMMMMM evil thoughts, 2 can play her game Grin

Is that the neighbour that gave you a table??

waterfalls · 02/04/2006 00:07

yes, lol, see what I mean, as nice as pie to my face, she has bought toys around for my kids too.

OP posts:
mieowscintillant · 02/04/2006 00:09

Very strange, are you sure its her complaining? I am nice to my new neighbours but I do bitch about them because they are very noisy every weekend, with music blasting and fighting. Dh won't let me phone the police or the council about them though, because he doesn't want any more trouble while we are still here.

waterfalls · 02/04/2006 00:10

Yes positive, we are end terrace, and the housing officer told me who it was too.

OP posts:
mieowscintillant · 02/04/2006 00:15

very strange then, I will say hello to my neighbours but I refuse to be all 'pally' with them because they annoy the hell out of me (even though I used to work with her and was very friendly with her then) just goes to prove that you don't really know someone.

waterfalls · 02/04/2006 00:15

Maybe she is an Mner, and read my post about her houseGrin

OP posts:
mieowscintillant · 02/04/2006 00:17

lol maybe!! I really wouldn't worry, she is lying and you know that you are quiet, so forget it..

all4girlz · 02/04/2006 00:32

hey liked jampots idea killing with kindness
perhaps the neighbour who objects to thenude man should post his pic on the net (he might put his pants back on!!!)

my old neighbour reported me for parking my old rusting of a bangor car on her front 5 times lol when one day it was replaced with a brand new one--(new job) she never complaind again.

MadameDeMars · 02/04/2006 00:37

how annoying.

We had that with a neighbour at our last place. Constantly complaining that:

I had too many visitors
The kids were too loud
The kids played in the communal garden

ad nauseum. She was a nice as pie to my face and even tried to blame other neighbours. She was constantly complaining at the Tenants meetings.

I ignored her. Fortunately we moved to our lovely new house where my kids can play in the garden without fear!
