Peter coming home is fast becoming a reality. only 4 more trips out whihc can be done in a week if we push it. district nurses are trained for the dressings, we will be getting carers sorted soon. how am i going to cope?

Like you always do - wonderfully. I'm sure you'll feel 'normal' within a very short time of him coming home. You'll be wondering how on you coped with him not there Smile

intergalacticwalrus · 01/04/2006 12:15

You'll be brill, I am sure

Misdee ..only seen a brief history of your situation but i'm sure you will cope just fine, you have seemed to be very strong over this whole episode and hopefully you will see the positives of moving into this new chapter
best wishes for you all!

Oh wow. Suddenly hits you when something you've been planning for ages is finally going to happen, doesn't it? And this is such a huge thing. But you can do it, Misdee - you of all people have the skills to do this. Honest.

I know it's so daunting Misdee, but I know that you will find a way to cope, paticularly once you've got the carers sorted. All the unknowns are very unsettling and as soon as you start being able to see how the practical details will work, I hope that things will feel less overwhelming.

You will cope fine, and just think, Peter can help give you a bit of peace from the kids by reading them stories, stock up on those stoty books girlGrin

Nbg · 01/04/2006 13:28

It's been a long time coming Misdee.
Enjoy every second (I'm sure you will anyway). I'm sure you'll be fine Smile

Are your kids excited?

i havent told them yet. A lot can happen between now and then (hopefully a transplant), so i dont tell them till things are set in stone. dd2 got very confused the other week when he came home for a few hours, she asked him if he wasnt ill anymore.
