has anyone used a nutritional supplement called Biovite to combat PMT - I have had it recommended by a friend of a friend but just wondered if anyone had come across it before. I really need to find a way to modify my jekyl and hyde personality...

It is intended s n lternatve to HRt during the menopause..but works for PMT as it contains natural phytoestrogens and PMt is down to lower levels of oestrogen..

heres the recipe

1 cup soya flour
1 cup wholemeal flour
1 scant cup rolled oats
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup flaked almonds
2 pieces stem ginger finely chopped
1 1/2 cup raisens
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 tesspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
about 2 cups soya milk
1 tablespoon malt extract.

Put all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add the soy milk and malt extract, mix well and leave to soak for about 30 minutes. Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a small loaf pan with waxed paper. If the mixture ends up too stiff-it should have a soft dropping consistency, just too thick to pour-stir in some more soy milk. Spoon the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours. Test with a skewer and if it is not cooked through, allow five to ten more minutes. Turn out on a wire rack. Eat in thick slices with soy spread. One slice contains the RDA of phytoestrogens.

Sorry it's not a big fat chocolte cake!lol.
if that doesn't sound tempting i think you can buy capsules of phytoestrogen in health food shops.
