Bump.
I've got as far as the length x width x height = 21600 inches, not sure what to do next!

CountessDracula · 30/03/2006 13:15

eh?

You can't work out the size of a boot just from the cubic feet

It depends on the shape of the boot. It could be long and thin or very square and boxy and still have the same cu ft size

CountessDracula · 30/03/2006 13:15

the cubic feet is just the volume

throckenholt · 30/03/2006 13:17

take the typical width of a car, divide the volume by that - gives you an area that is depth times height.

Can you measure any of those things ?

BettySpaghetti · 30/03/2006 13:19

Imagine a box thats 12 inches high, 12 inches wide and 12 inches deep. Thats 1 cubic foot.

Imagine 12 and a half of theses boxes -thats the size of the space available but, as CD said, that could be a long space, qute a square apace etc

HTH

I used \link{http://www.exship.com/volume.htm\HERE} to get the cubic inches. I thought maybe you could get a guess, if you assumed lwh were all equal then that might give you a rough idea.
