A couple of weeks ago our garage was broken into and amongst other stuff my dh's toy car was nicked. It was £400 a couple of years ago and the insurance rang today to say it wasnt covered and read me the wording which I took to be ambiguous. I queried it and the lass checked with her superiors who confirmed it wasnt covered. I telephoned back and asked for the number for the inusrance ombudsman and suriprisingly the lad who took my call asked about the claim and miraculously decided that it was indeed covered by the insurance and we'd have a cheque within the week.!
