Happy new year to you all out there.Wouldn't it be funny to here someone resolve to eat loads,get fat and start smoking cause this is just the opposite to what we always here people say,lol.

Happy New Year, everyone. No resolutions here, although I shall attempt to be less slobbish in the house and to go to bed a teensy bit earlier.

I resolve to get a computer at home and therefore avoid being sacked for overuse of Mumsnet! PS. Welcome mhvp!

I am going to get decluttered in my house. I have discovered www.flylady.net and with her help, I have given 7 bags to the charity shops in recent weeks and about the same again of rubbish to the dump. I am also going to do more and more home cooking rather than hurriedly rushing out for something quick at 5pm. I do quite a bit anyway but hate relying too much on ready meals and the like. Oh, and lose some weight, now that my youngest son is one, I can't hide behind the 'just had a baby' excuse anymore. I haven't got much to lose but enough for it to be a resolution this year!

BTW Hilary, I registered with flylady out of curiosity (and wild optimism!) and stumbled at the first hurdle - put on shoes at home so that I would be able to answer the door if anyone called?!! um I don't mind doing that in my slippers - am I odd and does everyone else put on proper shoes before they answer the door?? Well I'll persevere for a bit but no shoes indoors!

No, I don't do the shoes thing either! My sister doesn't do the sink thing or the shoes thing but we are both getting a lot out of it anyway. I take what I can use and ignore the rest.
