The un-domestic goddess

Tell us about your un-domestic goddess moments? Grin

I remembered one today. I decided to put DS1's empty paint pots in the dishwasher, one had contained red paint previously and dyed all the plastic and wooden spoons (yes I know you're not meant to put wooden spoons in the dishwasher) a very unnatural bright pink colour. Took ages to fade. Blush

Another dishwasher related moment was putting DS1's water bottle that he had just purchased from the School in the dishwasher (it didn't say you couldn't put it in) and it came out all melted and I had to send him the next day with money to get another one. His teacher of course asked what happened to the one he had just bought and he told her that I melted it in the dishwasher. Blush

I put wooden spoons in the dishwasher.

(Why aren't you meant to?)

I have the classic tendency to use 15 pans to make 1 plate of pasta.

Surfermum, I seem to remember when I got my first dishwasher, seven years ago, that it said in the instructions not to put wooden spoons in, think this was because it would damage the wood. In seven years I've only had one break and IIRC it was me who snapped it in a PMT moment. Blush

Mine seem to have survived too!

I once managed to burn playdough when I tried to make it. But that was 'cause I was on here, so it' doesn't really count does it.

Oh kiwi fruit! The first time I bought a kiwi fruit I had no idea what to do with it, so I peeled it and took out the pips! It was about 20 years ago though.
