Farnborough hospital - cheeky request

Does anybody work at Farnborough hospital?

My dad is going into hospital on Monday night and will be there 3 days. I'm not going to be able to get there until Wednesday. I really just wondered if anyone could take a few pears and apples in and leave them for him somewhere where he might get them. Happy to pay via Paypal.

I know this is a ridiculous request but you just never know... I'll do the same for you some day Smile

sorry, nowhere near Farnborough, but you may be able to find a local florist/ greengrocer that will deliver fruit- I've seen some nice "arrangements" in our hospital. Or, how about arranging Ocado or similar to deliver?

nannyme · 25/03/2006 22:08

Is that the Pru? I can go!

Kathlean · 25/03/2006 22:09

Are you talking about Farnborough Hampshire? Is there a hospital there?

Twinkie1 · 25/03/2006 22:10

Is that the old Bromley Hospital??

I can go if you need me to is about 30 minutes away but will give me excuse to stop in at In Laws on the way.

nannyme · 25/03/2006 22:15

If it is the Princess Royal nr Orpington I am 5-10 mins away and free all day Monday and Tuesday just let me know where (and his name!)

Twinkie1 · 25/03/2006 22:17

Oooohhh she nearer than me - would he find it amusing to have lots of ladies with presents popping in to cheer him up!!

I am not a loony by the way - I have met quite a few MNs and they can vouch for me!!

nannyme · 25/03/2006 22:18

We could do a visit each Twinkie - he'd hardly notice the three days til Wednesday then! Or go together?!

acnebride · 27/03/2006 09:55

oh WOW - sorry I haven't been on before, our laptop gave a death rattle on Sunday. Nannyme, could you really drop something off at the Princess Royal on Tuesday? What he would really like would be 4 Comice pears, they're his favourite and I just feel sure he's not going to get his usual intake of fruit in hospital. I'll CAT you with his name and probable ward, if you can send back your email address.

I wasn't thinking an actual visit but just dropping them off for him - it might freak him out slightly to have a visit - actually nothing has ever been known to freak my dad out less than a visit from an unknown female Grin but just dropping them off for him is fine. THANK YOU.
