How much do you usually spend on them for xmas and birthdays? Have a reason for asking, am not just being nosy, honest! Smile

I don't have one yet but will have this summer. I suspect we will spend same on our neice or nephew as we would do on other main members of family, outside of own household - such as siblings, parents, etc. So about £30.

Thanks Hulababy Smile Anyone else?

Similar - about £30.

About £7 but this was a few years ago so maybe £10 now and nothing now as they are all over 18 and don't buy me presents in return. I have my own kids now too so too expensive and what do you buy 20 somethings anyway? I get a big general present for the whole family like box of chocs/biscuits for Christmas and individual ones for my sisters and BILs.

dpends entirely on your own relationship with them
sometimes my sisters spend a fortune on my kids. over my protests, which they just completely ignore. sometimes they dont buy anything on purpose.
my kids are there kids as far as they are concerned. if they want to spoil them, they do. if they want to teach them about life they do.

Thanks everyone, we have 3 soon to be 4 nephews, and was just trying to work out if I was going a bit mad with their presents!
