If I wanted to put an ad in a paper trying to find someone where would I start, what papers should I try?

I lost touch with a close friend over 10yrs ago and would love to get back in touch with her. She moved to Ireland not long after and is now married with children. The problem is I dont know where she lives or what her married name is and there is no one I can ask to find out. I have tried Friends Reunited but she isnt listed on there. I have often thought about her over the years and would love the chance to apologise for being a total arse.

If I was to put ads in papers what would be the best ones, have never done this before so dont know where to start.

Funny you should say that as I can just sent him an email although the address I was given is slightly different to the one on that link. Oh well i will see if i get a reply if not I will send another using the link's email address.

Will let you know the outcome of that.

here is another irish site, its mostly money related, but has lots of non-money bits too!
there always seem to be a lot of people on it at any one time.

John Creedon is excellent for 'impossible requests'. Gerry Ryan - say it is Lent and mention reconciliation. He can be really pious at times. Most of the time he is not pious and I'm not allowed to listen at work!

stleger, it was only when I realised that Gerry was on this morning that I realised that I had forgotten to put the alarm clock forward! The ds's were very late for school!

That was the email address I was given. I will see if I hear anything in a day or to if not I will try John Creedon. I have got the addresses for the Irish Sun, Irish Times and a couple of others so am going to write to them, I may even include a photo just in case they are able to print it. I know my friend would have changed quite a lot from when we were 16 but hopefully if she saw a photo of herself in a paper she would just have to read the message that went with it, I know I would. Some people dont always read the reunion section of papers so anything that grabs her attention is my best bet.
