Organised ds1 birthday for this Sunday; half his class have declined as they are out with their mums and now my mums got the humph as well... bugger!

are his very best friends coming?

god what a relief. you'll have a much nicer time with fewer children.

what's your mum's problem?

Bozza · 23/03/2006 14:58

Oh no anteater. Sad Bad timing. It's my birthday this Sunday and I am ending up trailing around to my Mum's and then my SIL's (she's sorted it all out neatly so that she can have her Mum, MIL and me over and not have to go out anywhere) so about 3 hours driving for us. And I am full of cold.

Think your Mum is being a bit moody - surely the party won't take all day.

His best friends are not coming Sad
Normally I would agree about the low numbers being better but rounders does need are some children...!

Obviously I don't know how old he is, but how about he is allowed to invite his best chums over next fri or sat, go bowling and then have them sleep over? Or just get a pizza and DVD in for them to watch before a sleep over. Would that compensate?
Saying that, I'm probably making more work for you and not solving the problem.. can you postpone or have you booked somewhere?
