Have just had to come clean with the child benefits office to let them know ds2 is ds2 and not my ds1 (if you see what I mean). Dp and I have been telling them for years we're a couple but they've not been able to recognise this up until now and have insisted on paying us as 2 individuals. But we now have the pleasure of being recognised as a couple which means I get £11 weekly child benefit for ds2 instead of the full £17..!
Ah well - some you win, some you lose..!
