penny, two pence, five pence, ten pence, twenty pence, fifty pence, pound coin, two pound.

janh · 20/12/2001 20:50

no 4 is snooker balls - potting order - yellow, green, brown, blue, pink, black.

janh · 20/12/2001 22:36

And another one (not from me this time, I have sent it on to another group of people):

No 1 is American presidents - George Washington, ?, Thomas Jefferson, ?, ?, John Quincy Adams.

janh · 20/12/2001 22:41

The ?s are: John Adams, James Madison, James Monroe. Result! (looked 'em up on google!)

janh · 20/12/2001 22:52

No 6 is naval ranks: admiral, vice-admiral, rear-admiral,commodore, captain, commander, lieutenant-commander, lieutenant. (google again.)

Rhiannon · 20/12/2001 23:15

Another one is c, t, c, p, r, g, d, I thought it was wedding anniversaries, they all fit except the first c so I must be wrong on that one. R.

I'm an occassional viewer of this site and I am SO intrigued about the answers to these questions. Please can someone post the amswers soon!!!!! I'm stumped.

janh · 21/12/2001 18:19

Rhiannon, for the Prezzes and Sailors I knew some but not the rest; google is just www.google.com and then I put "US Presidents" and then "Military Ranks" in the box. (It gave the equivalent ranks for US/UK, for all the forces, which was sort of interesting.)

Still stuck on the others though...pity about the anniversaries. Google's list for those, from Chicago Public Libraries, goes up to 100th!!! Can you imagine?

Rhiannon · 21/12/2001 19:22

janh, what about the Chinese birth years like dragon, rooster, monkey etc? or English P.M's? R.

OP posts:
janh · 21/12/2001 20:12

Rhiannon, I can't see either of those sequences, or astrological signs. I keep thinking cj,hh,z should be easy to guess (but it isn't!)
Still stuck, Keep trying!

Rhiannon · 26/12/2001 22:22

Still haven't got anymore. I've tried British P.M's, Chinese Birth Years, space shuttles! and British castles and cathedrals. Still need help please. R.

Where is everyone? You must be sick of all those relatives by now! As you can see I'm getting a bit desperate and insane with this stupid quiz now.

Here they are again:

  1. n,a,m,l,cj,hh,z...........

  2. a,p,stl,l,s,a,p...........

  3. a,t,c,c,n,g,o.............

  4. c,t,c,p,r,d,g.............

  5. l,f,t,f,d,a,g,s,m this is the only list which doesn't carry on.

Thank you DD is coughing, must go. R.

Right Rhiannon - I'm going to write them down now and make my entire family take a look - don't worry you WILL get your answers!!!

janh · 28/12/2001 19:05

Rhiannon, what is the significance of carrying on or not (if you know) please?

Rhiannon · 29/12/2001 09:46

janh, well I think it's because some of the lists may be long ones like England captains or something, so they've just listed a few. R.

janh · 01/01/2002 19:00

Well done, Rhiannon! (How did you get that one? Start with stl and work around it?)

Rhiannon · 02/01/2002 09:56

Hi janh, no I was looking for the other one with the 2 c's and the o thinking they were Coe, Cram and Ovett and was looking for Olympic games that they all might have won medals in and stumbled across the venues list. They all won golds in Moscow Olympics in 1980 and also in Commonwealth Games in 1982, they all fit except the N. Oh Well. R.

Lizzer · 06/01/2002 18:59
