Watchdog and Two Left Feet

Watchdog are investigating Two Left Feet :)

I spoke to one of their researchers earlier this week after contacting them about the online company Two Left Feet via the BBC Watchdog website. They phoned me for more details and to see if the matter had been resolved - it hasn't by the way.

I have just sent them some of the correspondence I had saved between me and TLF, as well as a full account of what had happened and not happened over the past three months. I also had an e-mail and a phone call from the researcher today, so need to phone back tomorrow after work.

But I have said no to being on TV! My work at the prison does mean really that I can't have my identify broadcast, especially as it would have family and location details included.

I am really pleased Watchdog are investigating. They are such a poor company when it comes to customer service; the worst I have ever dealt with anyway. So if anyone else has any comments or experiences they would like to add let me know and I can forward on your details to the researcher.

I'm afraid I don't even know what's the company's business, not that they are selling left feet, are they?

Oh well done Hula!

I haven't posted on the thread about them but I know there are quite a few of you who have had problems.

Maybe it will give them the kick up the backside they need!

TLF are an online shop seeling baby related products. Don't use them!

This is my story:

I ordered a car seat from them on 16 December. It was a Jane Indy Plus in red. The website said it would be 2-3 days delivery. It never arrived. I e-mailed them after Christmas, before new Year about it. they then said it wasn't in stock and would be 4-6 weeks. No! says I!!! They said they had two others colours in stock for immediate delivery, and I changed my order to silver. It still never arrived. Lots of e-mails later/ Lots of promises that it was to be sent out today/tomorrow/immediately. Lots of excuses given as to why not sent out. On 16 January it still hadn't arrived. So I phoned. No customer aftersales by phone, only e-mail. Started quoting 4-6 weeks at me. I cancelled my order. Couldn't do it online apparantly, so I had to e-mail them. Got a reply 2 days later syaing seat had been sent out so money had just been taken out of account and I'd need to go through accounts for refund. car seat hadn't been sent out (was told that by phone!) and it was all untrue. Money had gone from my account on 16 December - day I ordered, a month earlier!!! Credit card is now investigating and trying to get me my money back now. Been 3 months since I ordered and 2 months since I cancelled. :(

GOSh, I will avoid them them too, thanks for that

Hulababy · 21/03/2006 20:50

Also bare in mind that they also work as two Right Feet Ltd trading as Two Left feet. I am pretty sure they are the same company.

spikemomma spoke to them too

Hulababy · 21/03/2006 20:57

I remember her saying so. Hopefully Watchdog will have enough on them to follow this through. the researcher seemed very interested.

I have now e-mailed the MD of Two Left feet as well over this matter. I have also mentioned that I have had contact with Watchdog and my credit card company are involved. And that I have spoken to a solicitor over the matter. I await his response.

I had problems with them at the beginning of this year, after speaking to Trading Standards and emailing Watchdog, I have finally got my moneyu back from them. My advice, definately do not waste your money with this company!! If I can be of any help, get in touch.

pandagirl03 · 22/03/2006 18:07

oh poo bought something from them monday night i hope it comes now Sad

Hulababy · 22/03/2006 20:22

Well I think I may have a result.

I e-mailed the MD of TLF last night and detailed(in great length) my experience and mentioned the steps I had taken to recover my monmey so far - credit card company, Watchdog, solicitors.

I got an e-mail in reply today from the MD. It says that my refund has now been processed and should be in my account in a few days and I have been offered compensation of £20 - to choose an item from their website up to that value. I will accept this compensation offer and use it to get a Grobag for BIL/SIL or something as they are expecting their first baby in the summer.

I will keep an eye out for my refund appearing on my credit card statement.

Whilst I am very glad to have this, seemingly, sorted out after 2 months since cancellation, it is such a shame I have had to resort to contacting the MD of the company.

Hula, after all that mess, do you really wnat to be in the edge wondering whether they will send it or not, if it will arrive on time, etc, just to save £20? I would rather pay the £20 and stay in peace with a purchase.

Hulababy · 23/03/2006 20:35

If it doesn't arrive then I have not lost out, and I can post on here and elsewhere with more bad press I guess. But they offered the £20 to spend, so i figured why not - if BIL/SIL's new baby gets a sleeping bag out of it then good for them.

Regardless I know myself whether I will use them again or not, let's face it.

what amazes me is they stil stick to the time wait for a refund..they can refund in real time ie I could refund a customer now and it would be done at midnight..bollocks the waiting

Chandra · 23/03/2006 23:56

See?

Chandra · 23/03/2006 23:56

No ofense intended BTW :)
