This morning I went up to DS' nursery to play for the kids. I play keyboard and as they are doing music as one of their themes one of the assistants asked me if I'd go up and play for them. played for a few minutes and the kids did some singing - it was enjoyable for everyone. Afterwards one of the assistants thanked me and said "you should do that for a living! going round to toddler groups or set up your own kids music type thing". Well, I know this sort of thing has been done before in the form of Jo Jingles etc, but was thinking that it might be doable as a business, I already have a professional keyboard, so I could potentially start out with schools/preschools etc until I had become known, and could then maybe hire somewhere once a week and do an hours worth of music with parents/toddlers? I also have some recording software on my computer so I would also be able to make backing CD's to potentially sell to parents/organizations. so, could it work?
