Just discovered why dd1 doesn't like my packed lunches

I've just figured out why dd1 prefers her daddy to do her packed lunch, I never usually look, but wasn't sure if he had done it this morning and she had

White bread with a thick layer of chocolate spread (and knowing dh and his love of stork, a thick layer of that)

A single chunky kitkat finger, a mint viscount, strawberry squash and a yogurt Shock

When I do packed lunch she usually gets
A bagel with hardly any marg, ham, cucumber or suchlike, an apple, a yogurt and some very very weak apple juice

I shall be having words me thinks

Radley · 21/03/2006 09:13

He does try bless him, more so these days, but after \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=67&threadid=157033&stamp=060320162504\yesterday} I think he is doing it purely to cheer her up.

This morning came downstairs to find she had had a cheese and jam sandwich for her breakfast.

yeuch, my dad eats cheese and jam sandwiches. when he starts feeding her sugar sandwiches (another of my dads faves) you have a problem

Piffle · 21/03/2006 09:15

Grim on begalf of your dh!
Gosh do people still eat margarine Shock

Radley · 21/03/2006 09:18

Yes piffle and when dh puts it on he puts it on really really thick, I cannot eat anything that he has buttered, I use flora diet and anything else now tastes really greasy.

sounds like my dh - he makes chocolate spread sandwiches for ds (I make ham ones !). I think men have a much more sweet tooth than women.

intergalacticwalrus · 21/03/2006 09:25

Lol at this!

My DP is master of feeding DS junk. He laso over feeds him, them moans when he chunders everywhere like saturday, when Ds-15mo- had for breakfast: 3 slices of toast, a banana, 2 petit filous, a chocolate digestive and a cup od mulk. None of which are particularly bad (except maybe the biscuit) but the fact he had stuffd all that in meant the DS then spewed in the car, and as a resuly, I have driven round for 4 days in a car that smells of vom. Deeeelightful.

intergalacticwalrus · 21/03/2006 09:26

Oops, sorry about me developing "fish fingers"

am trying to stop DS from pulling the wires out of the back of the computer.

Kelly1978 · 21/03/2006 09:28

eww yuck! I do wish my dp would make the lunches sometimes tho. He'd go the other way though, poor dd would be faced with a box of carrot sticks and some water!
