My DP & DD are desperate to get a dog. I'm a bit reluctant to have such a large fulltime commitemnent although I love dogs. We both work part - time and live in London so it could be really unfair on the dog.
I read an article in the guardian about a family who had a dog share - does this really happen? And where would you adverise or look?

A dog share is a great idea! I would absolutely love to do that, only part of the cost and part of the committment!

Someone help us out with info please:)

I know of two Border Terriers (tom & jerry) left in kennels by their owner and would appreciate a good home even if you can't walk them everyday.

My sister tried being a dog walker for the local rescue place for similar reasons with her son. It worked really well - until they fell in love with one of the dogs and decided to adopt him anyway! I'm not sure how many dogs would really be happy being shared on a long term basis.

I guess it must be the doggy equivalent of a divorced couple sharing the care of the children:o

the cinamon trust needs volunteers who walk dogs for old and infirm people who can't get out to do it themselves.
That would be a lovely thing to do...
will try to find a link for you Smile
