Does anyone know roughly how much Ikea charge for delivery of a wardrobe? Live about 60 miles away from the one at Thurrock.

delivery charges are set by how far you live from the store.
Will have a look... hold on

can't find it on the site but they have bands according to distance. I think yours would be quite high. Is there any way you could pick it up yourself?

ask the question to the interactive person

Its a bit of a pain really, don't think it will fit in my car. The actual wardrobe is only £50, probably end up paying same 4 delivery

thanks, will try the interactive person

We paid about £80 for our 2 sofas and chair I think - we're about 50 miles away.

Does your car have roof bars, or somewhere to attach them? Then you could stick it on the roof. (Roof bars much cheaper than delivery I should think and you would probably use them again.)

Or if you have an estate/hatchback, or access to one, you could leave the pacake sticking out the back and tie the tailgate down.

(We have done this kind of thing a lot, can you tell? Grin)

Or do you have a friend with a large MPV?

When I say pacake I mean package, lol!

Renting a van for the day is usually only about £40 and just think of all the others things you could do with it when you had it. Empty your loft, clear out kids rooms, dipose of junk from garden..... Okay, I'm getting a van! Grin
