dreaded mmr boosters dilemma

Hi, I've just got a letter saying DS is due his mmr boosters. Now, my dilemma is he's quite soft when it comes to dr appointments, luckily he's rarely poorly so I havn't had to take him much, the problem I have is I can possibly persuade him to get the 1st jab but he's a stong lad and I know for a fine fact that he won't let the nurse anywhere near him to have the 2nd jab and I won't be able to hold him without it enhancing his reason to be scared.

crumbs he's just realised it doesn't hurt to get his hair cut! (another story involving manic barber zooming towards him with clippers last year)

so I'd be greatfull for some advice, especially if you've been in same predicament.

No idea but we've got this coming up soon so will watch and see if anyone has any tips. Same as you - 1st one shouldn't be a problem, but how do you persuade a small child to sit still for no.2?? Chocolate?

Lollipops? Last longer than chocolate - and he has to hold the stick, so less flailing of arms? Worked for me a couple of times...

Knowing my luck he'll whack me on the head with the lollipop ha ha ha but I shall give it a go, or I might go with a new toy in my bag, produce it afta the 1st jab, then dissapoint him when he gets a lollipop after the 2nd, just grateful there isn't a 3rd!!
