I've used \link{http://www.crocus.co.uk/cutflowers/\Crocus} in the past and been happy with them. I think John Lewis do flowers as well. (I'm assuming you want them delivered in the UK.)

lucy5 · 12/03/2006 20:11

Yes thanks Bran it is a uk delivery.

I used to use Clare's Florist a lot but have had a few complaints from the recipients of late so am back to Interflora.

hoxtonchick · 12/03/2006 20:13

i tend to find a local florist, ring them up & get them to deliver. it's LOADS cheaper.

brimfull · 12/03/2006 20:13

you can just pay over the phone with you credit/debit card.

bran · 12/03/2006 20:16

Interflora are a bit variable, and quite a bit of the price goes to Interflora (rather than towards your flowers). My mum used to own a flower shop and she pulled out of Interflora for various reasons, but partly because she found that she couldn't give value for money because of the way it was structured.

I'm with Hoxtonchick - look on yell.com for details of local florists in the town you want to send them to.

I know a fab one in York. They post the flowers anywhere and are very well packaged, you can talk on the phone with the florist about what you want, and you get really unusual and beautiful arrangements. When you talk to her you can be as vague or as specific as you like (e.g. for my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary I told her I wanted pink but nothing girly or sweet, and I also measured the vases and gave her the dimensions. All this for about the same cost as interflora! I'll try and track down her details for you.

Tanzie - I am mystified - what sort of people do you send flowers to who then complain? "Thanks for the flowers but they were on their last legs when they arrived and the colours were really naff" Shock Sorry if I'm being nosy but just can't imagine in what circumstances you'd complain about flowers! I'd be profuse in my thanks even if they turned out to be half a dozen dandelions.

milward · 12/03/2006 20:40

I like interflora -as delivery is reliable & quick. Flowers & chocs are great.

I want something really special for my aunt who organised the wake for my fil and really did us proud. Ideally I would love to send her Spanish flowers but its so expensive to send from here.
