wedding unity candle

I need some ideas please - we are having a unity candle for our wedding. Normally a unity candle is one big candle personalised with names, date of wedding etc and then 2 tapered candles with each of our names on it. Now I have a 2 year old son so would have a third candle with his name on it and somebody would give a little verse while we are lighting the candles, but don't know how to word the verse. Be something about us joining together in marriage and as a family unit. Please give me some ideas

I've got no words for you... but it sounds lovely. We had a unity candle and could get the bloody thing to light during the ceremony. Check that the wicks are long enough!

try the usa wedding sites - they tend to have more of the verses thing on them than uk ones.

does the place where you are buying them offer suggestions? or the church or registrar?
